Ukraine announces the extent of the war losses

The Ukrainian government estimated the damages caused by the war that Russia has waged on its country since last February 24 at 565 billion dollars, which is the amount it intends to obtain from Moscow, as well as in the form of aid from its partners for the reconstruction of the country after the war, according to Prime Minister Denis Shimshal.

In statements reported by the Ukrainian News Agency (Ukrinform), Shimhal said that this amount is an initial estimate for the reconstruction.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine made these statements yesterday evening in Kyiv after meeting his Polish counterparts Mateusz Morawiecki, Czech Petter Fiala, Slovenian Janez Jansa, and Polish Vice President Jaroslaw Kaczynski, who assured him of their countries' support against Russia.

The Russian army strikes Ukrainian military targets, but its operations have also affected civilian residential buildings and facilities such as hospitals.
